Forgot about this one. Had uploaded to SoundCloud 5 months ago and still had it tagged 'private' - doh!

Hello again, I forgot to tell you about the other song I made with "Moonlight" and of course, didn't upload it to Soundcloud nor Youtube. So recently, I've only just uploaded it in Soundcloud because I still don't have time to open up my computer for Youtube upload, but I promise that I'll update my Youtube channel with my latest music.

Well, here's the link: http://soundcloud.com/dnbdev/love-express/s-9Vpmn

I hope you'll enjoy it because it's much more different than "Moonlight", you'll see it if you hear it. Thank you for your time and please do give some feedback if you like it or not. =)

Hello Nanofriends
Been browsing through this forum during the last few days and still wondering why I haven't done it earlier given that I've been using NS for a few years now. Lots of resources and interesting tips/comments here. Looking forward to discover more Nano tracks through this thread. Thought I would share some of mine, starting with below one. Most of my Soundcloud tracks have been made using NS - have a try by visiting my profile: https://soundcloud.com/dj-tos-1

Hi to you all, so I recently made a song and also recently uploaded it to Soundcloud with my iPad (I still ain't touching my Youtube channel but I'll make it up you.) Here's the link:

So, I might not get in touch here in the forums cause I'll be going back to school (yeah, I'm fourteen and 'to be' grade eight student, or a second year student, or whatever you want to call it) and I think that this might be my last song for this month until December but I'll be back in Christmas cause you know, a Christmas break in the school. Well, that's it for now then. Goodbye and thank you for your support to my music especially to my Nano-friends, @jesperjones & @refraq-music. Also, this might/will be included to my "LP" (yeah, I'm thinking if I want to make an LP, a real album stuffed with drum n' bass.) So yeah, see you! =)

Oh, I forgot to tell you that "Moonlight" & "Love Express" will be in the same album as "Voyage". =)

Hi everyone,

I just released an album of ambient/yoga music that was recorded and mixed with Nanostudio. All the live tracks were done using an iRig mic and using the TRG banks. Some synth sounds copied over from Camel Audio Alchemy into TRG banks as well.

Thanks for listening,

Return to Nano :)

Hi folks, here is a song I was working on during the past year. Composed in NanoStudio (around ~ november last year), but I wanted to do some more with factory piano sound in NS, so later decided to replace it with a bit more realistic piano, and added a new pad layer. I hope you like it :)

PS. the pictured pair is my own creation which served as a direct inspiration for this track :)

Regards,
Darko

A track done pretty all in Nanostudio with samples recorded on location and using BBC new reports. Mastered by Tarekith at Inner Portal Studio.

The Tarekith who started the wishlist thread 4 years ago? We've come full circle!

How weird! it was a discussion over on the audiobus forum about mastering apps (and my difficulties in this area) and he popped up and offered to master the track so I could hear how it should sound. My attempts at mastering seemed to make it all worse - he suggested two really simple changes to the mix then passed the track back all polished up. Strangely I can hear details in the mastered version, especially in the bass that I cant hear on the iPad directly in Nanostudio when I KNOW (and I can see) what is supposed to be there. Same headphones and all that.

Out of interest, what were the two simple changes he recommended?

Decrease the main bass part by 1 to 2db (I actually hedged my bets and went for 1.5db), and increase the snare by 2db (difficult when the TRG volume scale is 0.00 to 1.00. Hint :-) ) And that was it.

I removed compression and EQ from the output channel and reduced the master faders to prevent clipping.

@Kitejan: Could you post the pre-Tarekith version as well? Maybe just temporarily for us?

@Stiksi (& anyone else wondering): after pondering I realised if I stick everything up on my Bandcamp site it should do the trick (no one really goes there so I don't need to make it private or anything :-) ). Go here:
https://acollectionofnotes.bandcamp.com/album/temp

to find three versions of the track - the "pre master" version I sent for mastering, the "Nanostudio final version" (which is usually what I just leave things at), and the "Original Nanostudio Version" (whose FX-removed version was originally submitted).

If needed (!) I could upload my "Final Touch" version - the one I was struggling with - just so you know.

Apologies for anyone having to listen to the track a number of time who doesn't like it :-) But you did ask!

I will remove it in a week or two (or when I remember).

Yeah, thank you for sharing Kitejan. Probably says a lot about my ears: I couldn't really hear a difference. I was playing them back in two browser windows at one point tying to A/B them. Not listening through the best speakers and not at a very high volume though. That is to say, I think your original sounds really good!

This is my last nano track, a jazz-house track, St Germain/Buscemi influenced.
I did everything on NS besides mastering [Ozone]
Hope you like it :D

Wow @Youtopia. Great vibe and some incredible sounds. Is the bass line from a loop or were the notes individually played?

First track for a while. A slice of melodic Techno run through Final Touch.

Enjoy!

@kitejan: Sounds great! Though I hear you when it comes to mastering being some dark art you don´t understand. I hate it so much myself, because I know how much fatter a tune can become with the right mastering skills, but I have no idea how to use compression and the EQ in Audio Mastering (which is the app I use to master), is so damn complicated compared to the Nanostudio EQ ;). So I use a trick that Jon (Pantsofdeath) thought me. Take down the volume on the finished song and press one of the presets in Audio Mastering :D So Matt, if you could implement a automated master in NS2 that makes it sound great, I´d be your slave for a year ;)
@youtopia: Amazing groove you´ve got going here. Love it!!
@LeeB: What can I say that I already haven´t said to praise you. Maybe that I think I´d leave my wife and kid for those amazing sounding basslines :) For me I think you´re the one that rocks NS the best!!
Anyway... Here´s my latest track. A generic dance-track for you all!! It´s part of my new EP that you can listen to in full here if you like:
https://jesperjones.bandcamp.com/
Also coming soon to different downloads and stream-sites!!
