** nanostudio songs **
Did you put a bit of post process compression on it? Sounds like it dips a touch on each bass drum beat, which I like.
If you're referring to my song. I just put it though the Default Mastering Suite in Reason before loading it up on soundcloud.
cyberheater - yeah that'll be it then!

This is a little Oldskool intelligent drum and bass track i created using this absolutely superb app.
Ive been staring at the Logic screen for a long time now and using Nanostudio to make this track made a refreshing change and even brought out a bit more creativity!
It kind of reminds me of the old days when all i had was a sampler and a synth, It limits you in a lot of ways but that's good because you end up adding more of your own imagination into the mix and not getting sidetracked by endless plug in parameters!
Thanks a lot Blip Interactive, making music on the move is truly possible now. Keep up the good work.
Im loving listening to you guy's tracks too, keep em coming!
Nice track Andy K. I'm liking the laid back chillness of it.
And I agree about how wonderful this app is and how the lack of choices forces you to concentrate on the music. It's made me realise that too much choice stifles creativity. I've got Ableton live and Reason and there's a million combinations of effects and settings. I've spent hours tweaking eq's and effects settings in a tracks that no one but myself would notice.
It's astonishing how much power this app puts in the palm of your hand.
Here's my first song made in NanoStudio:
Love this app. I can definitely see myself using it more often. I'm usually pretty picky about music studios, but NanoStudio has hit my wavelength
I absolutely adore Nanostudio. I've not really tried my hand at creating tunes since Music 2000 on the PS1. Anyone remember that?
Anyway, here's my first tune on Nanostudio. Straight from the iPhone. It's a bit rough around the edges and yeah it's too long but I'll learn...one of these days.
Hello guys.I'm another happy user of nanostudio. Here is my first song recorded during my vacation in symi island(greece).Only iphone direct export from nanostudio no external processing. Quite simple song with no special evolutions, I hope you enjoy.
muramusu, that's a funkeh beat you got going on there. I like what you've done.
Good parts to shorten would be the long percussionless part and the long repetitive part in the end :) but I actually think it's only slightly too long if at all.
hey, lastfuture, this is beautiful!
With the pentatonics in there, it almost sounds nice a Muse track, great job!!
I'm totally new to music production and using programs like this, but I dig dubstep and wanted something to make stuff on the fly...this app blew my mind. First song attempt, not yet finished... Titled hoarses because I just yelled horses into the sampler to learn to use it :P
You've got a kind of glide hip hop lead which reminds me of playing Grand Theft Auto!
Looking forward to the follow-up singles 'Donkeys', 'Ponies' and, of course, 'Goats' :)
Oh I've actually got a concept album idea already, titled "Welcome 2 the Filthy Zoo: Mating Calls of the Animal Kingdom," up next is tigers, marmots, zebras, lions, and cheetahs :D
I made the west coast whistle lead in reason and sampled it because I couldn't find a portamento setting in nanostudio...did I miss it?
Yes you did miss it - it's on the same page as the Amp Envelope. Wind the polyphony right down to the bottom and you'll get Glide mode.
Although - due to a bug in V1.0 it won't record glide events quite as you play them. It ends each note very slightly before the next one, whereas what it should do is end it slightly after so they overlap and hence glide. You can fix this in the pattern editor after recording by selecting all the notes, turning the grid off and lengthening them all very slightly with the orange drag handle.
I daresay some top labels will be all over you for some of that Filthy Zoo shit :)
Thanks for the feedback. Third was one of the first and I made it to test the "record sample" feature (that's me saying "nice" with a lot of reverb on it. ) I made third in about 10 minutes and BigPipe strangely took me a while longer (mostly on a flight from SF to Chicago)
I've been using sequencing programs since the days Cakewalk came on a 1.5 floppy disk and am really enjoying NanoStudio. How cool it is to make nice music on your phone.
Fingers are crossed for the ability to share session files! That'll really make this app go viral.

It already works using Suer Mode in NanoSync, project, bank, eden and trg files can be wifi-ed to the PC and then hosted online, you can then put a link up here for someone to download, they then wifi the files to their iPhone using NanoSync and can continue where you left off.
Anyone fancy a collab? :D
Thats another cool idea though Blip, having it native to Nanostudio, so you can put project and other files to somewhere like dropbox and if someone has the filename and password, can download it from the server?
My two latest, last one has been EQ'd in FruityLoops and is in my opinion my best one. Still not finished though and there was nothing I could do about the distortion towards the start on the base, thats to do with the EQ in Nanostudio, need to touch it up later. Not quite as dark as my other two )
Searching for Nanostudio on Soundcloud results in 7 sites of songs. Amazing!
Is there a way of ordering them by newest? I try to listen to all of them but I'm beginning to lose track!
I think we need one (and only one) official NanoStudio group on SoundCloud, then yes, new submissions are in order :) I think the 'nanostudio' group, lower case, has the most tracks/people so perhaps that's the one to stick with.
I still reckon a fight's the only way to decide it properly but if you want to use diplomacy and reasoning that's your choice :)
Caledonia Haze is pretty nice ^^
like the sounds but dont like straight dnb, sorry)
really first? than youre talented :)
