When i export the song to my computer i get it as a .nsp file, which i cannot open.

Manage->Project->Mixdown

You can then get it from the Mixdowns folder using NanoSync

In what form do you want the file on your laptop?

If you're running NanoStudio on your laptop and you want to get your project on there then exporting the .nsp file is the right thing to do. You then need to drop it into NanoStudio's folder which on Windows is typically C:\ProgramData\NanoStudio\Documents\User\Projects, and on a Mac will be /NanoStudio/Documents/User/Projects.

Note that .nsp files are just .zip files so you can rename them with a zip extension to look inside them on your computer.

Alternatively maybe you're more interested in a mixdown as a wav or ogg? In that case check out page 49 of the manual:

If you want to export a MIDI file, then try page 42.
