Well, the Mac version's really just meant to be a free demo for the iPhone version. I'd kind of prefer to put work into features that'll appear on the iPhone version (or all versions) rather than just the Mac/PC. I've been looking into various MIDI input options recently though so you never know, it might creep in sooner.

The next PC version will definitely have MIDI input, as will the iPhone via the Line 6. So it seems unfair not to do it on the Mac soon.

MIDI In support would indeed be fantastic for the Mac version.
It would be great to be able to work on Projects on both the iPhone and my Mac.
Being able to go between the two would be really useful.

Most of the pain with the MIDI input was writing the UI to do device selection and channel/controller mapping. Since I had to already do that for the Line 6, it made it pretty quick to get it working on the PC and hopefully the Mac will be similar.

Line 6 unit is going to be awesome. :) Also like the look of Akai's hardware, the Synthstation 25. Any plans to support that?

I'd certainly be looking to support any IO hardware as and when it comes along.

In NanoStudio V1.1, the iPhone, Windows and OSX versions all now support MIDI input in one way or another. The iPhone uses the Line 6 MIDI mobilizer accessory.
