My iPhone shows 97 apps on the 'Won't Work in iOS 11 List'. Not just synths - there are some other useful apps on the list that I'll hate to see disappear one day. I wonder how many of the developers gave up on those apps. Are there companies that buy abandonned apps to refurbish and release them again? Seems like there is a lot of potential for a business model like that.

Not really because I think most of them would need to be completely rewritten which would be better time spent making a new or improved app. Its really unfortunate and i suppose it feels like coping with a loss but it's just the situation and at least nanostudio 2 is on the horizon (i have iphone so it's going to be an even LONGER wait for me :-/. Oh well. Such is first world problems

I'm not a code-writing primate, but I'm guessing some apps would be easier than others to re-write to 64 bit. In terms of music production, synth apps don't seem anywhere near as complex as something like a DAW (a la NS2). Perhaps I'm wrong, but I suspect a bigger piece of the equation is surviving economically as a developer. It's almost like a developer really needs milultiple apps is various categories in order to maintain projects like synth apps on the side. I could see Blip making a Flappy Blips game to make money enough to keep NS2 afloat. And who wouldn't want play Flappy Blips?! Blippy Flaps?

The date is June 2011, so that would have been regarding NS1. The link didn't work for me.
Does make me wonder when Matt will begin doing interviews for NS2... Since he's been super quite I think he's working like a madman right now.

> slam-cut ..

he is waiting for " set " of questions to compose answers

step one : interview " slam-cut VS blip "
step two : send " 64 bit promo interview " to all magazines
step three : TV show (top gear) .. ;)
step four : flag (nanostudio) on mars

these days i feel anger against " ios app producers "
they create " cars " without engine , cars without wheels ..
user interface & how - to : headache style
.. & record button is in a neighbour's bathroom ..

nanostudio is really number one .. i am serious ;(
'cose i like " simple as guitar " style ( " creativity first " )
yes , i like complicated style too .. but in " layers "

ps. there are buildings without 13th floor ..
matt's crib should have elevator without button " 11 " .. ;)
